Tell the Governor NO to Un-Secure Communities

Dear pro-immigrant leaders from Waltham and the surrounding areas,

We are counting on you to participate, speak up and invite all your pro-immigrant friends to attend this meeting (full info below and attached) and express your concerns against Un-Secure Communities. A small anti-immigrant group has been trying to sabotage this meetings. Let's show them that we are more, we are there to share our stories peacefully and we have reasons to disagree with Secure Communities.

Best,

Cristina

COME AND SPEAK UP AGAINST

Un-Secure Communities

This Saturday April 16th at 1:00pm

in WALTHAM

Arthur J Clark Government Center

119 School Street

Waltham, MA 02452

Join us to express loud and clear  your concerns about this racial biased program.

.

Governor Patrick's administration has held a series of Community Meetings to discuss concerns over the implementation of "Secure Communities,"a federally mandated program that has proven INEFFICIENT after reporting large numbers of immigrants without criminal background to Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

ICE's stated intention is to use Secure Communities to catch and deport criminal offenders. However, a vast majority of those detained and deported under the program have not committed a crime nor have a criminal background (53% in Boston)

We need to continue speaking up against this program that criminalizes the immigrant community. JOIN US!
